Job Description:
BioPharma360 is looking for a Business Development (BD) Lead who will be responsible for overseeing and growing the sales team, implementing effective sales and business development strategies, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management and experience with government and commercial RFPs (Requests for Proposals). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the sales process.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive business growth and market expansion.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish sales leads and new business opportunities, including government and commercial contracts and RFPs.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making and business development efforts.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective clients.
  • Continuously identify and submit candidates for open opportunities.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to the business development team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in sales, business development, and RFPs in a relevant field with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience with government RFPs and a thorough understanding of the government procurement process.
  • Experience with commercial RFPs is a plus.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tracking tools.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, and adaptable to diverse areas of need.
  • Highly resourceful, enjoys working independently while taking the initiative to get things done.
